G. Can lead to instability and death.
III. Diagnosis
A. Gold standard for diagnosis is
visualization a clot on CT pulmonary
angiography.
IV. Treatment.
A. Anticoagulant
1. Heparin
2. Warfarin
B. May require thrombolysis
1. Tissue plasminogen
activator (TPA)
C. Thrombectomy.
