Versed
1. Give 1-5mg per hour up to 10 mg per hour max.
2. Mix 50 ml of NS with 50 mg (10ml) of Versed. This will give a
total volume of 100ml.
3. 2 ml=1mg.
4. To relieve anxiety in ventilated patients; pre-op sedation or
anesthesia induction.
5. Monitor for respiratory depression, apnea, laryngospasm,
dyspnea, respiratory arrest, PVCs, amnesia, confusion, and visual
disturbances.
6. Have emergency equipment available.
